Jaguar Rear Main Oil housing

The story goes that a very clever friend was offered the opportunity to drive the owner’s Jaguar. Upon returning, he parked the car on a steep hill. However, due to it being an old-timer with an old-school seal, oil leaked from behind the crankshaft’s rear main seal. The friend did not only cleaned up the mess but actually fixed the issue with this particular car. He created a rear main oil housing with a labyrinth, ensuring that the oil returns back into the engine.

Older rear main seals were typically made from rope and are prone to leaking after a certain mileage. Therefore, we decided to create these Jaguar main seal housings, allowing us to use modern rear main seals and extend the engine’s lifespan. If you’re interested, you can check out Meka Engine Parts for more information.

The rear main seal housing is installed on the rear side of the engine’s crankshaft
